Established in 1978 as a joint powers agency of the City and County of Sacramento, we are a public workforce development organization committed to transforming lives and building economic self-sufficiency throughout the greater Sacramento region. Our Sacramento Works career centers connect job seekers to employment opportunities, skills training, and supportive services, while helping local employers find qualified workers across industries. We address the full spectrum of community needs, offering education, childcare, nutrition programs through Head Start, and refugee resettlement services alongside our core workforce development mission, guided by the belief that every member of our community deserves the opportunity to thrive.
