For more than 40 years we have provided free literacy, job training, and employment placement services to economically disadvantaged Rhode Islanders, helping them achieve greater financial stability and quality of life. Based in Pawtucket, our programs include the state DHS Transitional Employment Program, which assists families in moving from public assistance to unsubsidized work through job preparation, placement, and retention support, as well as re-entry services for individuals recently released from incarceration. We partner closely with probation, parole, and state workforce agencies to connect underserved community members with meaningful employment opportunities, and our track record demonstrates consistent success in getting participants enrolled, trained, and working.
